Amarcord 3.0 is a latest generation augmented reality app developed
as part of the urban art project "Street art in Piazza Galluppi - The mural 3.0" in Canosa di Puglia, funded by the regional STHAR LAB program in 2021.
Amarcord 3.0 was developed by Vincenzo Fabiano and alongside a mural of about 400 square meters, by the street artist Piskv. The mural is a 360 ° work of art that surrounds the walls of the historic covered market in Piazza Galluppi: a tale of the square, of the characters who lived it historically and of those iconic characters who have sculpted Canosian history such as Pasquale Zagaria, aka Lino Banfi, or sen. Vito Rosa but also to the traders themselves, the "chiazzir", iconic figures who animated this place with their goods on display on the sales counters.
The work of art will be able to overcome the two-dimensionality of the walls thanks to this app that continues the narration by providing the tourist or ordinary citizen with additional content. With your smartphone, in fact, it will be possible to scan the mural and obtain information about the city and learn about the history of the characters and of Piazza Galluppi.
An app, highly innovative but easy to use, created in both Italian and English to favor foreign tourists. The app is fully usable in offline mode for those wishing to take the mural home.
